Welcome to Olive Mandela Foundation
Through her tireless work, Oliver Mandela established the foundation for what would become the Mandela Free School and laid the groundwork for community health initiatives. Her sudden passing from a stroke left a void, but her legacy lives on through this foundation.
Today, we continue her mission, ensuring that her dream of a thriving, educated, and healthy Hoima community becomes a reality for generations to come.
We Are Non Profit Organization
The Olive Mandela Foundation was born out of compassion and a deep desire to change lives in Hoima, Uganda. Founded by a Oliver Nyamaizi Mandela, the foundation was inspired by the struggles she witnessed daily — children unable to attend school, families without access to healthcare, and communities caught in cycles of poverty and hopelessness.
In Hoima and surrounding rural areas, many children drop out of school because their families cannot afford school fees or basic supplies. Mothers give birth at home without medical support, and young people lack opportunities to build meaningful futures. These challenges not only affect individual lives but weaken entire communities over time.
Hope For Humanity
The Olive Mandela Foundation was established to break these cycles. Through education access, healthcare outreach, support for orphans and vulnerable children, and community empowerment programs, we work to restore dignity and hope where it’s needed most. Our approach is simple but powerful helping people help themselves by providing the tools, skills, and support they need to thrive.
We are more than a charity; we are a partner in transformation. Every contribution whether financial, material, or technical goes directly into creating tangible change on the ground.
